Is there anyone out there that takes NO as an answer.....

I know that it is a common problem with most women....saying no.... But in my older years I have been beginning to understand that you have to. I took on president of a local organization...no problem... I have good help and exciting members so I thought it should be fun... But like everything, there is always something that doesn't go like it is supposed to. We decided to create a new position and thought I found the person perfect for the job.... But just found out today...she is moving... No biggie... Well, now I am trying to find someone that can take that position. That should be interesting. Then I have been asked awhile back to help with a great cause. RELAY FOR LIFE. I love the idea... But I mentioned to the person that I was thinking about becoming pregnant and didn't think I needed any extra stress. And now that I am, that person still has asked me to help. I am very honored and I know that I would do it where it would really benefit the cause, but I don't think it would benefit my family. At the point of time....I have no energy...Not only pregnancy...but 2 kids and a family....and a business. I just needed to vent...I know that most people have more reason to complain and to stress...but I really had one of those days. I just need a girls night out... ANYONE UP FOR IT. I know what a good friend of mine is....we agreed to do something this week. She has had someone sick in her family for awhile...and feels like there is no end...At least I can see the end...Women....take care of yourself...and make sure your priorities are in line....

Seriously...let's get together this week. Maybe Friday? We all need a little girl talk and time with no one begging us to do something or screaming in the background!! Hope to see you tomorrow. Little Case is a sick boy! We'll see!

Okay Steph...If you don't say no I will for you...You have to take care of yourself. God makes you tired so you WILL rest not do more. I'll help with Relay and you just come visit!
Don't be nice. Blame it on your hormones!

I'm in! Donna told me about it today and I'm ready. Tell me when and where and I'm there. If I can get my chairs painted, we can have it at my house if you wanted.

I knew you weren't avoiding me; I was really just wanting to say how excited I was for you and Toby and the new baby! Yay! And, I wanted to see if Richard and I could make dinner for y'all one night and bring it over. Please accept this offer, because I know you are tired and not feeling well and it is with Christian love and out of friendship that I offer it to you...plus I LOVE doing it! So, what night would be good for y'all? We could do this week, this weekend, or next week...you let me know.

Saying No is a hard thing to do. There are so many great areas to help and minister in. Sometimes I find myself over committing and then doing a poor job. Besides the fact that it wears you out. You number one ministry (and mine too) is family. I forget that sometime.

Thanks for reminding me.

Charla - that is a sweet gesture...I would hate for you to have to do that though. I know that you are busy too....But maybe one of these days we can have you both over for supper....I really am starting to feel lots better. I am finally getting my energy back and I am not has queezy.

Trey - thank you for the advice.. I appreciate it...I just want to help with everything that I can.. Especially good causes...
