Sometimes you just have to laugh....

I have to share this quick little story. As many of you might know......Toby is obsessed with hunting and sometimes we are lucky enough to go with the entire family..... One day we decided to take all the kids out..... as soon as we hit the gate...the seatbelts are off and they are in our laps.....Kaitlyn was in her daddy's lap and she took control of the wheel....she did pretty good for awhile...but then started getting off the path......Caden sitting in my lap....covered his eyes with his hands...and said "I can't look" I have never laughed so hard in my entire life.....

And yes...Kaitlyn is 5 and drivin..... I started drivin when I was 4 on my parent's lap on the way home from church every Sunday. Let's just hope that Kaitlyn didn't get her mom's lead foot...
Let's just say...when Toby asked for my hand in marriage....my dad was excited for 2 reasons....He loved Toby and he told Toby that he was inheriting my insurance policy....haha

Please don't tell me that I am the only one out there that was an early driver....or has a lead foot?
Remember the BBQ supper before the game tomorrow night.....Hope to see everyone at the game.....

I can remember my dad letting me drive...all my kids get to drive in my life every now and then. The funniest had to be Katy. Makes me laugh just thinkin' bout it. Amanda is a terrible fast driver. makes me nervous just riding with her. she tries to go as fast as she can from point a to point b. great post!

i used to let tanner drive. but now he's in between. too big for my lap but not quite big enough to drive himself. we'll try it soon - don't tell marci.

i remember sitting in dad's lap when i was about 7 and driving to california!! mom and john always fell asleep when we traveled, so dad would let me help him drive!!! so many memories!!! we would sing along to the radio and he would laugh at me for trying to just lean on curves instead of actually turning the wheel!!!
as for my husband's comment about my driving.....he's right!! :)

My dad worked 40 miles away and I in the summers I loved going to work with him. He would always let me drive. It started when I was about 8 with me in his lap. As I got older, about 12 or so, he let me sit in the seat all by myself. That's when I learned to drive stick shift. I LOVED it! I do have a lead foot occasionally but after a couple of speeding tickets, I've pretty much curbed that habit!
