Toby went huntin' in Wheeler with his assistant principal Kirkpatrick (KP) on the last day of 2007. KP got his 2nd turkey and Toby's first 10 point off the lease in Wheeler. They were both excited about their hunt and they even made a humorous video to document the occasion. (I am posting this to make my husband happy....sorry for the gross pictures ... haha)

Merry Christmas
We want to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS. We are here in Taos, NM with my family. My parents, grandma, both brothers and the entire Tucker gang from Childress. We could not have asked for better weather or better conditions. The mountains were not very full. They are supposed to be full tomorrow. Santa found the kids and brought them everything and more ....HA HA....

Merry Christmas
We are leaving for Taos this afternoon. There is a possibility that the weather is going to get bad....so we are leaving a day earlier. Not ready...NOT at all. My roommate from college came in yesterday to visit.....so I didn't get much done. I am working fast and furious trying to get us packed for a week...that is going to be tough....have a great holiday and MERRY CHRISTMAS....I hope you have a great one...I know I will....on the SLOPES....

He walked
We luckily got to go to Lubbock yesterday to see my youngest brother walk the stage and receive his degree from Texas Tech. He actually has to do one more class, but that shouldn't be a problem. We also got to all go eat afterwards at Cattle Baron. IT WAS SO GOOD. We also went to go finally pick up Grandma's present yesterday. We got one of those digital picture frames. Man,....was Lubbock crazy. I have never seen so many people in my life. Toby wouldn't let me do any other shopping...he couldn't handle it. I am still lacking Toby's parents present and Toby has to get something to take to his parents house. We play Chinese Christmas there. I also really have to go some GOOD gloves and boots for the kids, so they won't be COLD playing out in the snow.
SNOW...SNOW...about the snow....I thought my kids were going to blow a gasket when they saw the snow yesterday. They were so excited...Nothing better than making those little ones excited and happy....I can't wait until Christmas morning...it is going to be so fun...

We took the kids to the movies the first time in Childress
Toby and I couldn't believe that we have lived here over a year and haven't taken the kids to the movie theatre here in Childress. We took the kids to go see Alvin and the Chipmucks. It was really cute. Caden every once in a while got bored...but the most of the time....they watched the movie. It really brought back memories of my childhood. I remember dancing and singing to the Chipmucks when I was a little girl. I do recommend watching it...either the theatre or when it comes out on DVD...

The countdown to graduation
My little brother is SUPPOSED to graduate from Tech this weekend. We are still waiting on 2 class grades. The reason that this is such a great accomplishment....he owns 2 of his own businesses and went back to school this semester. I know that it was been really stressful, but I just hope that he gets his degree so he won't feel that those 4 years are a waste. I am proud of him though. He is very succesful already and he is only 23. Let's just say...I always told my mom that he was going to be the millionaire in the family...and I guess I am always right...haha.... Proud of you bro....big sis steph

I love the holidays... it is all about God, Family, and Friends...
What The Holidays Mean to You |
For you, the holidays are about emotional connections and bonds. You are happiest being around those you love. You celebrate the holidays in an over the top style. If something is cute, you'll buy it. People end up with a lot of gifts from you - and your house is like a holiday wonderland, full of decorations. During the holidays, you feel magical. You love all of the decorations and how happy people are. You like to sit back and take it all in. You think the holidays should be comforting and relaxing. You don't like the holiday rush... you just like the simple pleasure of the holidays. Your best holiday memories are warm and intimate. You remember special moments more than gifts or parties. |

Santa exchange
Yesterday my mom, the kids and I met in Memphis for the Santa exchange. We are not going to be here for the holidays we are going skiing with my mom and dad and brothers. So my mom and dad bought Caden a train table....so we are having Santa this weekend. Kaitlyn was so scared that Santa wasn't going to know where we are going to be for Christmas...so we decided that we would have some of the big things this weekend....so we wouldn't have to carry it with us to Taos.
About Memphis...if you have kids or need a place for relatives to go and play....Memphis has the neatest playground. That is where we took the kids so they wouldn't notice the Santa exchange....I gave my mom the other Santa gifts so that she could pack them early so that the kids don't see them and I got the train set so Toby and I can start putting it together. It looks like it is going to take some time. We are supposed to start tonight when they are in bed...I don't see it....
Mom and Dad are coming here on Sunday for Brunch and Santa......I will keep you posted on the teamwork it is going to take to put this together....and if Santa finds us where ever we end up....

Dave Ramsey update
We haven't made it through the first month...but at this point we are doing so much better than we would have.....thank goodness. It just makes you be more conscious of where your HARD EARNED money goes to....I will keep you posted...
Alot of people think that we are crazy to start in December with Christmas, but I think it really has been the best thing we could have done. We would have spent so much GOOFY money on gifts and now we are thinking about them more.....

Kaitlyn's first friend over
Kaitlyn had her first visitor come over and play. They had a good time..but Kaitlyn is a big baby....We only had a couple of skinned knees....unfortunately it wasn't on Kaitlyn. I just hope the mom doesn't think that I meant for it to happen. Atleast the little girl was old enough to tell her the truth....Other than that the day was great. Caden got in the way just alittle.... They are growing up so fast...it will be tomorrow when she has her first prom....

Women's TRIP
The trip was great. We had a wonderful time. All we did was eat and then go to show......eat and go to the show....eat and then go to the show.... You get the picture. It was nice to go with all those ladies. They were all ladies that I knew growing up. LOTS OF FUN. Our bus just broke down one. Compared to last year that was excellent.....they had to change buses 3 times and then didn't even make it to Branson...(between the bus trip and the foot of snow on the ground...I am glad they didn't make it)....
It was a pleasure to get to go on a trip with my grandmother, 3 aunts, many women that watched me grow up, and even some new people from surrounding towns...but most of all getting to go with my mom....my best friend....(she needed my help...haha)
FYI - the kids and the house were still here and in OK shape when I got home....

Please pray for my kids - ha ha
Tonight I leave for my trip with the CHURCH ladies to Branson.....We leave tomorrow morning at 6:00 or so....so I am planning on going to stay with my parents so I don't have to get up so early and drive in. I am a little upset because I don't want to leave my kids for so long...but I know it will be good for all of us. Especially Toby....he (not really) will see how it is to get 2 kids ready and yourself ready for school. Feed them breakfast and get them to school...pick them up and just go go go....but luckily I have some good friends and neighbors that are going to help us out.....Sharon and Mrs. Wyatt are going to help me out with the kids....thank God for them....
Branson....is going to be fun....it sounds like all we are going to do is eat and go to shows....my mom (who is president of her church's women's group) got the trip up. We (37 women - varying in ages from 28 - me - to 75 - my grandmother- will be on a bus to Branson tomorrow morning. I think we are going to see 4 or 5 shows in a 2 day period. Mom keeps telling me that I am the youngest and they are going to use me as comic relief....what is new...ha ha...
Pray for my kids this weekend....and pray for my house...I hope it is all together when I get back...
This trip is going to be good for everyone....

We tried the church here - again
There is one thing...and unfortunately the most important thing.....that we aren't happy here.....IT IS OUR CHURCH. We tried for a couple months when we first moved here to try the church here. Some things happened and it was all in spanish...so we decided to try out a church in a neighboring town. We have been going there (when we are in town.) We try really hard to make our weekend trips to my hometown or other places so we can go to church there. Many of you might be thinking bad of me....but most people don't realize how hard it is to be a WHITE CATHOLIC in a community that has little to none.
Both my husband luckily were raised in a STRONG catholic family. I was also raised in a STRONG catholic community. It was cool to be catholic and I had the opportunity to become VERY STRONG in my faith... My husband, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky. He was raised in a community were VERY few were catholic and so he wasn't lucky enough to experience what I had the chance to. (so he knows how it feels and doesn't want that for his children) I feel the same.
Some of you might know, church is how I met my husband. I was a sponsor for a friend of mine to become Catholic. (in the catholic religion....you CONVERT to be catholic if you aren't catholic...you just go to classes to learn about the religion and take other small steps before you decide if this is really want you want to do...which is great for all parties involved...As a part of her classes, we had to go to a women's retreat... I wasn't so excited about it, but I knew I needed to do it for my friend. So I gave up going to the Texas and Texas Tech football...(I love my lord....) and went to the weekend retreat...that is where I met my husband's angel...his sister...to make a long story short...after the retreat we kept in touch and she begged me to meet her brother that was a coach. At first I said absolutely no.... it was my junior year in college...my brother was coming to Tech the next year and I wanted to just have fun and not worry about a BOY...but she talked me into just letting him call and the rest is history) I ended up loving the retreat and the next one I was a chairman...I took over all the music also...so it was a blessing in hiding...
I love being catholic...but it is really hard....I love the traditions and the love of everything that we do. I also like the idea that my entire family goes to the same church and believes in the same things... that is a comfort that I need....
Many of loving friends that we have here ....really mean well.... they know that we aren't happy in our church at this time...they invite us to visit their churches. I don't want to hurt their feelings...but we (I) just can't. I know that there is a reason that the good lord brought be here...I just got to figure out how I can help me and my family....
Church today was nice...it is just hard (especially when you have 2 little ones) to hear the readings, sermon both in English and spanish.. I am a big music person and that is REALLY hard for me because it is all in spanish. I know what music in church gave me...and I want that for my kids....I need to think of something...
Thanks for listening to my ramble...but I needed to get it out....I need to find some peace for not just me....but for my husband. If it was up to him...we would be changing religions...haha...
(on a funny note....when we first moved here...the first things that people said to us was....what is your names.....what do you do.....where do you go to church....I knew that religion was very important to people here. But when we told them we were catholic they all just looked at us...when we made our first visit to the catholic church here.....i could see why....then someone said it us one day....I thought you had to be hispanic to be catholic....I guess we always learn from new people.......it was just funny to hear that and I understand that is REALLY what people thought...)
I really just wished we could have just a CHRISTIAN based bible study group and it didn't matter what religion you were...but I know what probably won't happen....
Thanks to all our friends that really have offered to help in so many ways...just count your blessings if you enjoy and love your church...it is one thing you should TREASURE...

Childress Open House
I really am glad that today is over with. Not that it wasn 't good but I am just glad to have that under our belt. There was alot of people out and about today and we got to see quite a few. We had about 6 different area individual merchants at the gym today. I hope and really think that everyone did fairly well. I did not really get to go visit all the other places...but hopefully I will get to soon. If you missed out .... it was a great day in Childress..... what a neat little thing. Thanks to Susan Leary....she took over it for women's council. She did a great job getting things done.

You know you live in a small GREAT town when
the funniest thing happened to me today. Caden (many of you know that we are trying to potty train...) had an accident. I put him (somewhat in the carseat) to take him home to take a bath and change clothes...when I noticed a delivery man at the store next door. He was on his cell phone trying to find out when they opened so he could make his delivery. I told him that he could drop off the packages at the gym and I would let them know they were there. He looked at me and said that would be great but I have to have money...so thinking I didn't have my company checkbook...I told him that I would try to go call and see if I could reach them...I couldn't...so I told him to drop them off at the gym and I would run home and get the checkbook. He was SHOCKED. He kinda looked at me like I was crazy...So I asked him...I promise my check is good and will pay you cash if I need to....He said..."No maam....I trust you...I just have never seen this....this is a first for me..." I looked at him weird and I said..."WHAT" he said "Not very many places could I go and the person next door first offer to drop alot of packages off....much less pay for them..." I just laughed and said..."I guess that is what is the difference between small towns, because we look out for each other and help them out when we have a chance. Because you never know when you might need the help." He smiled and said "I will have to let them know about you and Childress." I thought that was great that he thought that much about our little town... Don't get me wrong...I haven't lived here long enough to call it MY town...but I really feel like this is home, and days like this make me feel more like home...
by the way....I did find my checkbook in my car...and I did get Caden home to clean him up...haha...

I finally got the book....that I hope will change my life
I did get my Dave Ramsey book yesterday. Toby is a little skeptical, but he is leaving it up to me to read and do the research....but he promises that he will stick with it. I really think that he has some great ideas and I hope that it works like it says...I can see that it will. But also....help me with this...It really didn't give you a guideline to your actually monthly expenses. Did I not read it or are you just supposed to use your judgement and work with the littlest amount that you can per budget item. So if you see advertised in the paper ...... a garage sale... you will know what I am doing. Trying to get my emergency fund finished and start working on my debt..haha... Pray for me...because I am the spender in the family and have always been....But I think I can do this....The one thing I am really concerned about is my giving. We have a set amount we give to the church but I always find myself buying simple gifts, and lots of little things for friends and family. How do I keep this up....but within a sensible budget. This is one of the things that I really enjoy doing. I love doing little things. I guess I could just volunteer time and stuff, too.

Kaitlyn's first Successful Turkey Hunt
Kaitlyn and her daddy went huntin' and got themselves a turkey. Caden was sad that he did not get to go...but he got over it.
Toby actually shot the turkey. She was so excited and a real big girl about it....until she asked Toby if it was a daddy turkey. Toby covered in a big way...he said it is a "TOM", so she was ok with it. She did end up naming her turkey TOM. Watch the index for a picture also. Toby is so proud and wanted me to make a post.. I thought it was really cute.

I FOUND IT
Thank the lord....my goodness...I thought I was going to lose it...literally...but unfortunately this doesn't have the best ending. We found out that Kaitlyn took it and put it in her jewelry box instead of dropping it down the drain. I am excited that we found it...just said that Kaitlyn didn't tell the truth...

One of those days
Today has been one of those days. First I thought Toby was going to be able to watch the kids today, so I could do all of my women's council events..but I was wrong. Luckily, Allie could watch the kids....and they really enjoyed getting to see her. Then I went to the Art and Craft show to sell tickets and t-shirts.....stayed for a while but wasn't busy, so we left...came home for a second and rested. Then went to Aunt Susan's to set up for BUNCO. somewhat of a flop, but the people that came had fun, so that is all what matters....
Still sad that I don't know where my ring is...but hopefully we will find it...
Hope everyone else's weekend was more productive or more UNeventful....

I am so proud of my HUSBAND
I just wanted to say HOW PROUD I AM. Toby, you can accomplish anything that you put your mind too......love you lots.......
I think I lost my wedding ring
I don't think I have ever been more sad and scared in my life. I have looked and cleaned and looked and cleaned. I finally asked Toby if he was playing a trick on me....That was not the case. I don't know where it is...I don't know if it went down the sink...or even if the kids took or something....just pray that I find it. Toby is going to look in the sink soon....we do have insurance on it...but I don't know what that all intells....When it rains it pours...It was also my DREAM ring...I just can't imagine where it is..

Time for Tucker BUDGET
Today I just ordered my Dave Ramsey's book. I have heard so many good thing about him and his book...so I am going to see myself. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I need to put myself on a budget. I have never really been on a REAL budget...so this should be interesting....If anyone has any pointers, I would be very happy to hear about them. Also, pray for me....to have the strength to stick with this....ALSO, I have mentioned this to Toby, but I don't truly know how he is going to react to this....We will see...I will keep you posted...
HALLOWEEN WEEK
We had a busy busy last couple of days. It all started on Saturday when Kaitlyn and I went to our first Halloween costume Birthday party. They painted pumpkins, played games, and even got to ride a DONKEY. Toby and Caden went to Wheeler to do some work on the deer lease. You know that deer season is about to begin..(I am so excited, NOT) Then later that day we went to Christmas at the Park Banquet and sat at the Rabe's table. It was lots of fun. THEN IT WAS REALLY TIME TO PARTY. We went to our ADULT halloween party. We had lots of fun. Then Sunday, Toby left for Austin for a couple of days. I can't gripe too much...Toby was supposed to leave on Friday...so it could have been worse. Monday, we had Kaitlyn's Halloween Party at Ms. Angie's. I took a double decker chocolate chip cookie cake... It was unbelievable. But I had to give most of it away..or I would have eaten it all. Then that night Kaitlyn had Halloween at Ms. Kim's. All the kids took some candy and then did tricks to get a piece of candy. I have never seen so much candy...I don't know why we needed to go trick - or - treatin... The kids got to go visit the Wyatt's while I went to my women's council meeting. They were totally excited.
On Tuesday we had Kaitlyn's party at Ms. Carol's. It was alot of fun. Then Halloween came. We went downtown in Childress and went to all the downtown businesses. It is really a neat thing. I am just glad that Toby was back to help..atleast some. He had to go visit someone at the funeral home..so he left us and left us without any keys....I was not a happy camper. Kaitlyn was freezin. But it worked out...We came home and ate PIZZA and then went to the Wyatt's house. They loved their presents. Sometimes I wonder....what is the biggest holiday. It seemed like Christmas at the Tucker's house.
I have sorted my candy and it is on its way to the gym. I have to keep business going you know..haha
Happy Halloween from the Tuckers

Women's Council Meeting
I consider tonight as a total success. I am a member of a great organization here in Childress. Before Toby and I even moved here, I saw a couple write ups about Childres Women's Council and knew that I wanted to join. I made the first meeting in June and have been a member since. I have just taken over the role of Vice President and will take over President in January. Exciting but scary...
I really wanted to let this organization be not only good for the community but good for the members itself. We decided to hold a Membership Drive and a Women's Appreciation Lunch....We held it tonight... We had about 52 people and I really think that everyone had a pretty good time.....We started off with a First Impression Game. We pinned a piece of paper on their backs...and everyone took around a pen and wrote nice things about that person or their "First Impression" of that person...Then after a while...everyone sat down and took it off and got to read all the nice things someone in the room thought of them... It was really neat...Then we asked all the ladies to get out their purses and had a purse scavenger hunt....it was fun...we had one person with 23 lipsticks....that was crazy...she did end up winning the prize...I don't even think that I own more that 5 lipsticks...We had a quick little program about what all women's council is about...and we also told them about the new women's council. We know that not everyone can come to our monthly meetings...so we are starting to have a meeting a couple times a year at night..and make it a fun SOCIAL meeting...and also I will send out emails to let them know what is going on, so they will feel a part of something but don't have to be at every meeting....I think it will work out...
We have counted about 25 new members and alot of people took home their paperwork...so that looks to grow...that is crazy...
I am so excited...I was so nervous that everyone would not come and if they came they would not join....I am glad my prayers are answered...Thanks to everyone that came...and I want to really thank my good friends that came...that really meant alot...

Did you know this about me...

someone needs your prayers
Many of you might know the wyatt's here in Childress. Tim and Renae "mrs.Wyatt" are our adoptive grandparents. I don't know what we would do without them. I think they love the kids more that we do. And I know my kids love them.
This week we did get some bad news. Their oldest daughter has been diagnosed with a massive brain tumor. At first they didn't think they were going to have to do surgery, but we found out last night....they were doing surgery this morning at 7am and should last til about 1 p.m. They are going to try to remove as much as possible. Our family has been saying prayers for tim, renae and whitney. I do have to brag though. Kaitlyn at Ms. Carol's asked to pray for Whitney. I guess she does listen and can be truely a sweet little girl. Please keep the Wyatt family in your prayers. I will keep you posted..
We are thinking about you guys....

Your Karaoke Theme Song is "Since U Been Gone" |
You are a very expressive and genuine person. You're not so emotional that you wear your heart on your sleeve - but you're not afraid to show how you're truly feeling. Whether you're singing along in the car or singing on stage, your favorite songs make you get a little carried away. You're definitely the type most likely to dream of becoming a rock star! You might also sing: "Livin' La Vida Loca," "I Will Survive," or "Hollaback Girl" Stay away from people who sing: "I'll Make Love to You" |
What Your Halloween Habits Say About You |
You are an outgoing person who's a bit of a showoff. It's likely that you dress up for Halloween every year. You definitely think of yourself as someone who has a dark side. And part of having that dark side means not showing it. Your inner child is creative, patient, and whimsical. You fear people taking advantage for you. You are always worried about protecting your own interests. You're logical, rational, and not easily effected. Not a lot scares you... especially when it comes to the paranormal. You are unique, expressive, and a trendsetter. Your ideal Halloween costume is over the top and one of a kind. |

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOBY!
I want to first wish the love of my life a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. We really didn't do much but I think today was special. Some of the students and teachers presented him a birthday cake. He was surprised. And then at the PRIDE PROGRAM the whole student body sang him Happy Birthday.....led by Coach Rhodes. He sure has a great rendition..... For once, we (the whole family) got to go eat LUNCH together. We went to United, and had a great time. When he got home we had PIZZA and cinnamon sticks. We got to put candles on the cinnamon sticks. The kids helped him blow out the candles. We went to feed the ducks and then took the kids to the playground. It was a great day at the Tucker house.
Toby did make a great slideshow of the PRIDE program. Go to www.childressisd.net and check it out. It was one of the best. The seniors were so loud and I think they had a blast. Also, he brought some of the peers in the community down to compete in one of the contests. IT WAS GREAT. Thank you TREY....and everyone else. You sure made a difference. It was AWESOME. Toby and I both appreciate the community for their support not only for the PRIDE program, but also for the school and students.
Off the subject of birthday........... I am been cleaning like a mad woman. Don't ask me why...you would think I was pregnant and going through the nesting phase.... I AM NOT.... but I cleaned out closets, drawers, and every cabinet. SCARY... but I sure feel better. Don't get me to wrong....my house isn't really clean.... it is just better organized.
I really didn't get to TOTALLY relax on my day off... but atleast I feel like I got something accomplished.
I do have some bad news though. We just found out that our gas line to our house as a small little leak.....so we have to get it fixed. THERE GOES TRYING TO SAVE MONEY....and CHRISTMAS. We did find out it is not going to cost as much as we think. But the plumber couldn't promise he was going to have to dig up our backyard.. That will really make me upset...because I know the work I have put into the yard...and money.... Oh well...I guess that is why you should always be prepared.

What a day!
I know I have been begging Toby for another addition to the Tucker family, but days like today sure make me want to reconsider. I had 2 training sessions today. The first one went great. Then my lady that helps me at the gym.....had to take her little one to the doctor. So the kids had free time in the kids room. At first they came down and interrupted and ran everywhere. After some discussion and forceful voice, they decided to stay in the room... After about 15 minutes...I got alittle scared....for good reason. They had gotten in the bathroom and started playing in the sink. I guess I should be glad that is wasn't the toilet water. hA HA... They had gotten that all over the place...then they used a WHOLE NeW roll of toilet paper to try to clean it up. It was EVERYWHERE!.... Well, then it is my day for Women's Council. I had a babysitter set up, but again had to go to the doctor. Then with all the kids out of school, Toby had a great idea and thought maybe a girl could help and come to the house. I tried and tried to find someone...but NO LUCK..... So they had to go with me...oh my goodness....first we had to change their clothes, because the other ones were wet. I, myself, didn't have time to change, but we managed. I even promised my kids going to the park and maybe even a new toy - IF THEY WERE GOOD. Oh, my goodness, that was a mess.....I was so embarassed. I don't know what I am going to do. That can't happen again.... and to top if off.... the young lady that helps me at th gym is probably going to take another job. So I don't know what I am going to do.... When it rains it pours. Now they are taking a nap....and I am going to try to do the same. Getting up at 4 AM sometimes gets to me. ESPECIALLY after that kind of morning.... the joys of motherhood. I just wonder why I think I can handle another...? hA Ha

I have never felt so good
I think we are all feeling better. Now I have to catch up. Between the housework and everything else....I don't know when I will get caught up.....
It will happen though. I got to go to work today.
I performed my first aerobic class in about 2 weeks. I know I am going to be out of shape. Luckily for me....we didn't have too many so we decided to do PACE. It was actually fun. I sure love that....it is so much fun when you have someone to do it with. Then I had my training session with one of the sweetest ladies in the world. She makes my day. I love it. She is doing so good. I love you, MYRA.
I did finally get to go shopping for food and supplies. I made my shopping spree (an early one). My goal this month is to cook for MY family. I am going to try really hard not to eat out this month....atleast cut down. I want to really start saving money...and that is where we spend the most...also...I think it is so much healthier for all of us. Try to keep me on my goal..
Poor Kaitlyn....she was so excited about going to Ms Angie's and Ms Kim's. BUT...we don't have class today...Bless her heart...it was BROKEN...maybe we will get to do something else instead.
I have class this afternoon...I hope it goes good. Toby is going to Wheeler to fill up his deer feeder and just chill. It is good for him. I need to get a getaway. GIRLS are you up for it? It has been awhile.
Toby's birthday is this Thursday, so I don't know what we are going to do...
Everything is great in the Tucker house for once.
It will happen though. I got to go to work today.

How many TRUE friends do you really have?
It has taken me a long time to really figure this out... but I really don't know how many TRUE friends I really think I have. I mean the ones...that if you called in the middle of the night they would be there .... or on their way. The kind that doesn't judge you....just loves you for the way you are. THEY wouldn't talk about you...
Think about it and then (if you want) take the poll on my blog...
Have a great day....

We got GOOD NEWS
We got a phone call today from the doctor. We were waiting UNpatiently, but we got the news we were praying for. Everything came back in good terms. No diabetes, nothing bad, just good news. We still are just fighting the virus. I can handle that...I guess...I didn't think that I could, but the other alternatives were not in my prayers. hA HA...
Thanks to all for the prayers and thoughts. I am just ready to get my little boy back... He is so much fun....
Love those kids....more and more everyday.....

Toby's big day
He is on his way to Abilene. His big test is tomorrow. He is going down early to visit with family and get rested up.
He will do great. Whatever happens with the test will be for the best. It is an all day test...so pray that he makes it.... He hasn't been studying TOOOOO much, so we will see. How could you study in a house of SICKNESS...hAHA
Good luck - DADDY
We love you much.....

When you think it is over....think again
Caden had another spell. We finally decided that I couldn't help anymore...so it was time to go to the doctor. I was very nervous. We did get into one of the best doctors in town....DR GREEN. He was very thorough and great with Caden. We are running tests as we speak and we hope we find out good news. He was so good though. They had trouble getting blood but he did great..
We are lucky to live in such a town that has a wonderful hospital, as well as, doctors. When we first moved to Childress we could not believe the respect that such as small town hospital had. Now we are true believers. I want to let everyone know that I feel confident that my health and family's health is in good hands here in Childress.
THANK YOU to everyone at the lab, Dr. Green, and everyone at the hospital and clinic that we have ever dealt with. We are lucky to have you...
THANK YOU,
The Tucker Family
PS - please keep Caden in your prayers. We are still trying to get this kid healthy...

Kaitlyn and Caden sure enjoyed getting to go to the fire house. We got to meet Smokey the Bear and Spot the Dalmation. We got to all ride on the fire truck. That was so much fun for everyone. NOT just the KIDS>>HA... We really appreciate everything that they did. I don't think they know how they make a difference in each of those kids lifes...
Is there something in the water
I just wanted to let everyone know that I think that we are finally getting over it. I really up. We have plans to go to Abilene this weekend so I want to feel good so we can enjoy it. We have plans to take the kids to the zoo and visiting with Toby's sister and brother - in - law. This is for the birds!
I have been sick since Saturday afternoon...and not totally over it yet. Caden just got another sympton of the sickness. He is so funny....so much for the potty training. He is so sad....he just looks at me and says....SORRY. poor baby....
I did try to get up for aerobics this morning. I was thinking this would be no problem. I guess GOD had a better idea. Actually NOONE showed up or was even in the gym. It was actually scary... I don't even know if I can do the classes tomorrow.... I just hope this goes away soon...or someone will pay....
By the way, since I had a couple of margaritas at the golf tourney every old lady in town thinks that I was drunk. That is sure fun... I don't know how to change that rumor....I guess that is what I get for drinking in front of people that I don't know....
At this point in time....I can't even think of a DRINK...
FLU SUCKS!

You would have been proud
Starting at 9:00 - Tara and I got our cart ready and all our equipment. I got to meet all the ladies that were playing.... I apologized to them before we even got started. Actually I didn't do as bad as I would have thought. I even chipped one in. I think that I went totally nuts....
But I do have some bad news to go along with this day. I made it home just in time.... the flu bug hit me. I wouldn't wish this on my most hated enemy. I just pray that noone else gets this. Kaitlyn and I were up all night and it has continued into Sunday. It didn't help that I had a couple, but I hate this....I know that I married a great man...because he stayed up all night and did things that I would have hated to do. He even made a trip to walmart about 3 o clock last night...THANKS TOBY
About us all getting together to play.....Tara and I were thinking the same thing. It would really fun. Noone has to be serious about it...It would be just for fun.. We will have to get that together....
It was a great experience even though I went home and became TOTALLY MISERABLE!

Little Sick one
Caden has met the flu bug.....and he doesn't like it. It is his first bite and he having a fit with it. After I finally wised up....I brought the toilet to him... I know he is sick....because he doesn't even want to look at a cracker....bless his heart. Toby is gone to Clyde's homecoming with his asst principal Erik Kirkpartrick....he has sure lucked out.
He might get his taste, because I am supposed to play in my first golf tournament tomorrow. That is another thing that I can't believe I am doing. I have not even played 18 holes in my entire life but I am playing in a tournament. I hope that my partners understand. I am going to have to start drinking at 9 to make the day go by... Tara Reid is one of my partners and she promised me that noone will laugh.... I don't totally trust her though. You never know...I might win the entire tournament. You don't have to laugh... I can hear from miles away.
So if you drive by Childress County Club tomorrow and you get a broken windshield....just look for the lady with her HOT PINK t-shirt and pray for her..... Oh, that is right.....I am a member of the Childress Women's Golf Association....so I am doing it right....in my HOT PINK t-shirt....
I will keep you posted....

It is over
We had fun.....but I am glad that it is over. The kids got here about 7:30 to 8:00. We started with just playing around. Then when the majority got here.....we each picked out their favorite pumpkin. We painted Pretty Princess Pumpkins. We painted them with yellow, green, and pink. We also used lots and lots of glitter. They were the cutest pumpkins I have ever seen. I was really proud of them.
It was time again to get dirty. We CARVED the pumpkin. Some of the little ones took part...but Kaitlyn and some others that it was toooooooo gross. We cut out a sweet smiley face..
After that.....we decided to make footprint ghosts. With white paint we painted our toes white and made a footprint on the construction paper of their choice. It was really fun.
It was now time to clean up. We got the water hose out.... We washed the feet and then came in to wash hands.
Next we made cookies. (Stephanie style) We got them out of the package and laid them on the cookie sheet. While our hands were clean.....cleaner..... We decided to make our pumpkin cupcakes. I made the cupcakes early, so all we had to do was decorate them with icing and sprinkles. There was one snack and many to go.....
After our cupcakes were decorated and eaten....IT WAS SPOOKY TIME. We made black spiders. It is amazing what two black paper plates, googoo eyes, and crepe paper will make. And don't forget the glitter. Remember this was a PRINCESS party and we had to make the spiders pretty, too. I kept them busy... we decided to make our princess wands and get in the princess mode. They were really cute and easy....
It was mommy's break for a second. They went outside to play. Everyone did really good.
IT WAS DRESS UP Time. Some brought their dresses other used Kaitlyn's. Oh my goodness.....now I know why GOD made Little girls. That was the cutest thing I have ever seen. We all took pictures and then a little style show.
I really enjoyed the time with the girls, and really appreciate teachers. I know why I am out of teaching...ha ha...
I am pretty sure that there is 8 young ladies at this time that are sooooo tired. Everyone of them woke up early and excited.....and played hard.
ALL IN A DAY of A PRINCESS......

Craft and Play Day
I am getting ready to Kaitlyn's first craft and play day. I should have about 6 - 8 little 4 year old girls at my house for 4 hours tomorrow. We are going to make halloween craft and play dress up. I really excited that they are going to get a chance to just play with each other. I am really scared about the event, but hopefully the teacher will come out in me. I have everything ready and separated so hopefully it will be easy. Pray for me...you never know how this will go. I have made cupcakes, pumpkin jigglers, and we are going to make lots of fun things.
Again....pray for me...
Again....pray for me...
